Sonia has more than ten years’ experience in journalism, public information and knowledge management at the national and international level as well as in coordinating digital communication projects and social media outreach plans. Barcelona, Brussels, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City and now Panama are the places where Sonia has developed her career in organizations such as UN Environment/UNOPS, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the International Labour Organization, the European Commission, Spanish trade union Comisiones Obreras, and Spanish and international NGOs and media outlets. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in International Studies, as well as a course on managing social media and SEO.
