Thais joined the UNEP UN-REDD team in 2013 and coordinates activities on private sector engagement, REDD+ finance, economic analyses supportive of REDD+ policies and measures (PAMs) and investment plan design; and safeguards and non-carbon benefits. Prior to joining UN-REDD, she managed legislative capacity building programmes addressed to senior legislators in Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Global Legislators Organisation (GLOBE). Thais also advised institutions such as the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, Governance for Owners LLP, the Earth Security Initiative and the OECD on sustainable investment, forest governance, and economic development.
