The First Mediterranean Assessment Report (MAR1) on “Climate and Environmental Change in the Mediterranean Basin – Current Situation and Risks for the Future” has been released by the network of Mediterranean Experts on Climate and environmental Change (MedECC).
Along with its Summary for Policymakers (SPM) available in Arabic, English and French, MAR1 fills knowledge gaps and puts scientific evidence at the fingertips of decision-makers.

MAR1 was produced under a flagship Initiative of the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development (MSSD) 2016-2025.
UNEP/MAP supports MedECC with the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean and other partners.
The Secretariat of MedECC is hosted by the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre Plan Bleu based in Marseille, France.
