UNEA-7 (8- 12 December 2025) is open for participation of 193 States Members of the United Nations.
It is also open for participation as observers by:
(i) Members of specialized agencies which are not members of the UN Environment Assembly (rule 68 of the rules of procedure of UN Environment Assembly);
(ii) Specialized agencies and related organizations, the United Nations bodies and entities, including multilateral environmental agreements administered by the UN and UNEP, the intergovernmental organizations and regional economic integration organizations (rule 69); and
(iii) International non-governmental organizations (rule 70).
Participants registering for UNEA-7 can also register for the OECPR (1 – 5 December 2025) through the same link.
Please be informed that no registration can be processed via email. All registrations must be submitted online via the INDICO registration system.
Please note that registration will require the creation of an INDICO account for first-time users.
Participants to UNEA-7 must be at least 18 years of age. Participants younger than 18 years of age shall be considered a minor and shall be accompanied by a chaperone. Both shall comply with provisions set in the guidelines for access to and participation of minors during the UN Environment Assembly and sign the Chaperone agreement form.
All participants must be registered in order to attend UNEA-7 and the OECPR.
Participants also have to ensure that the e-mail address used for the registration is accurate and regularly check their emails to receive communication and updates regarding UNEA, including critical information such as issuance of visa.
Participants are encouraged to register well in advance of the registration deadline. UNEA-7 and OECPR will be held in person, this means that all representatives of Member States and other participants are encouraged to attend all the official meetings in person.
Please note that the review and verification process of the registration to UNEA-7 is not automatic and may take a few days, depending on the volume of registrations received.
Approved participants will receive an e-mail notification with a confirmation QR code from the INDICO portal, which is used to finalize the registration process when arriving at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) in person and for collection of badges on designated days in advance of and during the session.
All participants arriving into Kenya must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before the start of their journey. Noting that the eTA is only valid for 90 days after approval, participants are advised to apply not earlier than 15 September 2025 using the eTA portal. Further information and step-by-step guides will be issued before September 2025. |
All registered and approved participants will be issued a photo badge to access the venue which will be valid for the OECPR and UNEA-7. All participants will have to go through daily screening at the main entrance of the UNON compound.
