What:  

A focused half-day workshop for Brazilian journalists and media professionals on how to report accurately and effectively on forests, climate change, and biodiversity ahead of COP30. Held alongside the China–Brazil Researchers' Symposium on Forests and Nature (9–10 June), the event bridges scientific research and media storytelling to support informed public dialogue on conservation and climate policy. 

Why attend:  

Forests—especially the Amazon—are at the heart of climate negotiations. This workshop offers practical tools, expert insights, and reporting strategies on REDD+, biodiversity, and deforestation, while fostering collaboration between journalists and researchers. 

Speakers include: 

Experts from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), IPAM (Amazon Environmental Research Institute), and partner institutions from Brazil and China.
