Cartagena Convention Intergovernmental Meetings

From 30 January to 3 February, Contracting Parties to the Cartagena Convention’s Protocol Concerning Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW) and Protocol Concerning Pollution from Land-Based Sources and Activities (LBS) will meet virtually to discuss key issues related to the conservation of marine biodiversity and prevention of marine pollution in the Wider Caribbean. They will review and endorse the 2023/2024 biennial work plan and provide recommendations for the approval of the Conference of Parties in April 2023.
