The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) are pleased to invite you to the launching of the GlobalABC Regional Roadmap for Buildings and Construction in Latin America. As a product of a highly consultative process, we had more than 700 experts engaged in its development process, refining them each time with more data and examples from the region.

Now, this roadmap presents policy and technology targets and timelines, as well as key actions under eight priority areas which range from urban planning to new buildings, building retrofits, building operations, systems, materials, resilience and clean energy, in the quest of harnessing the sector’s enormous opportunities for decarbonization and achieving the sustainable development goals. They reflect regional specificities and highlight priorities and data gaps for the respective region. The Regional Roadmaps thereby present both, a framework and a process that can be used at the national level, and support the buildings and construction sector’s Race to Zero by 2050.

Join us in this workshop where you will learn about the key findings of the report and have the opportunity to join other buildings experts in the region in a rich discussion on how this roadmap can be used to advance decarbonization in Latin American buildings and construction sector.
