From September 24 to 27, 2018, Mexico will host the meeting of the High Level Intergovernmental and Stakeholder Advisory Group commissioned with the preparation of the Summary for Decision Makers of the Global Environment Outlook report 6 (GEO-6).
The event is organized by UN Environment, in coordination with the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico (SEMARNAT).
The participants of the meeting, including government and academic representatives from 21 countries, will seek to integrate the main findings of the six regional GEO-6 reports into a document that provides decision makers with useful and timely information that supports public policy and help reach the environmental objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Multilateral Environmental Agreements.
Once completed, the report will be delivered to the IV session of the UN Environment Assembly, to be held 11-15 March, 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya.
