Greening Education Partnership
UNEP is part of the Greening Education Partnership, which was founded by UNESCO, alongside a range of other UN agencies and partners. The goal of the partnership is to prioritize greening education in countries around the world, across four key pillars:
- 1) greening schools
- 2) greening curriculum
- 3) greening teacher training and education systems' capacities,
- 4) greening communities.
So far, 86 member states & 1200 organizations are part of this. Additionally, UNEP is working with UNESCO and a few key UN agencies to unlock financing for this work through a multi-partner trust fund.
