The Financing Agrochemical Reduction and Management (FARM) Programme has launched its new website, providing a central platform to support the transition towards more sustainable agrifood systems.
Funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by the United Nations Environment Programme, FARM works to reduce harmful agrochemicals and plastics pollution in agriculture by mobilizing sustainable finance and promoting safer alternatives. The new website, supported by the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP), strengthens access to knowledge, tools and country-level insights for partners and stakeholders worldwide.
The website features a comprehensive Knowledge Hub that streamlines access to curated knowledge resources, project updates and country-specific information and provides tailored support to users through the AI library assistant. Dedicated country pages highlight on-the-ground action, while an improved interface enables users to explore initiatives, publications and news more efficiently. By bringing these resources together, the platform supports faster learning and replication of good practices across regions.
The website also introduces FARM Insights, a series of knowledge products featuring FARM experiences and lessons from across the programme's seven countries – Ecuador, India, Kenya, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Uruguay and Viet Nam – and beyond.
Through case studies, guidance and expert commentary, the platform highlights practical approaches to phasing out hazardous pesticides and agricultural plastics while scaling up nature-based, financially viable alternatives. These resources support financial institutions, policymakers, private sector actors and other stakeholders in transitioning to safer agricultural and food systems.
By strengthening collaboration and improving access to actionable knowledge, the new FARM website reflects the programme’s commitment to supporting countries in building safer, more resilient agrifood systems. Stakeholders are invited to explore the new platform and share suggestions for additional features and content to inform its future development.
