Since 2001, EANET's work has led to major results. In particular, it has:
- facilitated strong intergovernmental collaboration among thirteen EANET participating countries allowing them to work closely to solve acid deposition problems in the region for the last 20 years.
- supported the participating countries in making well-informed decisions related to acid deposition by providing high-quality reports on trends and on the state of acid deposition in the region.
- strengthened capacity of government officers of the participating countries who are involved in the monitoring of acid deposition and in making the relevant policies, through training, joint research programmes, fellowship programmes, and awareness-raising activities.
