The Green Room served as an exclusive venue for Major Groups and Stakeholders participating in UNEA-7. It provided a dedicated space for hosting side events, thematic cluster events, bilateral meetings, and daily briefings, fostering the exchange of experiences and informal dialogue opportunities.
The events were in person and hybrid format, allowing those not in Nairobi physically to join and participate in the meetings.
Key Activities:
- Daily Briefings: The Green Room will open at 8 a.m., allowing Major Groups Representatives to prepare for UNEA-7 proceedings.

Green Room Side Event Selection:
The call for application is now closed.
Selection of Green Room Side Events was done based on regional/major group representation, relevance to UNEA-7 theme, quality and diversity of speakers as well as collaboration amongst multiple organizing partners.
The Green Room Task Force reached out individually to selected event organizers only. The final list of selected Green Room side events was announced on 30 November 2025.
