The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) launched the Emissions Gap Report 2021 in a high-level online press event with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen.

The press conference took place at 9:15 am EST / 4:15 pm EAT / 3:15 pm CEST on Tuesday, 26 October 2021, and included time for Q&A from attending journalists.  

The report provides an update of global emissions pathways and progress towards achieving national mitigation pledges and the Paris Agreement goals as well as the resulting ‘emissions gap’.
