This briefing, organized within the framework of the Geneva Environment Network, will review the outcomes of the negotiations related to chemicals and waste in 2022, and present the latest information on the important conferences scheduled in 2023, as well as a follow-up on resolutions adopted at the UN Environment Assembly.

The 27th Conference of Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change takes place on November 6-18, 2022, in

Science-based, data-fuelled collaborations are critical to restoring ocean health and ensuring a safe, just blue economy. Barriers, opportunities and innovative approaches will be shared and discussed.

The goal will be to highlight the S2S land-ocean connection and the link with nature-based solution as a way to address pollution, and/ or the blue economy.

This is one of the official side events of the UN Ocean Conference to be held from 27 June to 1 July 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal.
