As a programme management officer with UNEP Climate Change Adaptation Unit, Eva supports countries’ efforts to adapt to climate change impacts through planning and implementing ecosystem-based approaches.

Edward supports the management of the GEF Chemicals and Waste Portfolio budget.



Before joining UNEP, he worked for 10 years in UN-Habitat in project and programme management, administration, finance and budget, Business Intelligence and reporting, staff training and training coordination. Edward is a national of Kenya, he has a Master in Economics Policy and Management.

Dickson provides support to UNEP project teams on GEF programmes, encompassing project cycle management and quality assurance. He ensures that GEF projects comply with the requirements and policies of both UNEP and GEF project programming. He has over 10 years of experience in project and programme management.

Cicilia is a Programme Management Assistant with the Climate Mitigation Unit, UNEP. Cicilia has been responsible for managing a diverse group of projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency and transport in several countries globally. She has also managed several project mid-evaluations on the assessment of project performance.

Caroline Okana has worked with UNEP for over 16 years with the GEF International Waters Unit within the Ecosystems Division whose mandate is to support transboundary cooperation in shared marine and freshwater ecosystems. Under programme management, she provides support in project development activities, project implementation activities as well as administrative support to UNEP's GEF&nbsp

Under the guidance of Fund Management Officer, Clare supports Fund management functions of Enabling Activities Portfolio-GEF, Climate change Mitigation Unit. She also supports in the follow-up actions related to HR activities for the unit.

Evance Ochoo is a Finance and Budget Assistant at the GEF Coordination Office. He brings over nine years of expertise in accounting, finance and budget management, grants administration, compliance monitoring, and project cycle management. Previously, Evance worked with UNEP's Law Division as a Finance and Budget Assistant.

Catherine serves as a Programme Management Assistant in the Climate Change and Adaptation Unit. Catherine has over 12 years’ experience in coordinating, planning and supporting budget, procurement and operational requirements. Catherine has developed, implemented, and managed financial, administrative and procurement systems and policies to support programs and organizations at large.

He provides support to the projects within Climate Change Mitigation Unit and is responsible for the Unit’s financial information system. He has over 9 years of work experience in finance, accounting, and project management. Before joining UNEP, Aaron worked with UNON for 4 years as a finance assistant.  

Elca supports the development, management and implementation GEF Climate Change Enabling Activities Portfolio.  She has 13 years’ work experience in Environment and Natural Resource Management.

Roy is a Finance and Budget Assistant at the GEF Coordination Office in Policy and Programme Division. 

Antony is a Programme Management Assistant supporting Harmonised Approach to Cash Transfer (HACT) processes and requests for GEF funded projects at the GEF Coordination Office. He has worked in UNEP for over 8 years.

Tainá is working as UNEP Climate Mitigation Finance Expert (UNV) in LAC Portfolio.

She provides general financial and administrative support for LAC Portfolio. Including support to Project Implementation/ Internalization; Financial Reports; Project Evaluation/ Closure and recruitments.

Lisa supports communication for the UN Environment Programme’s Global Environment Facility project portfolio. In her role, she leverages her expertise in digital brand management, public relations, and content production to enhance the visibility and impact of environmental initiatives.

Pauline supports the GEF Chemicals and Waste portfolio on finance and budget management. She also serves as the IPMR focal point, leading on reporting and financial tasks. Prior to joining UNEP, Pauline spent five years in the private sector.

Joyce is part of UNEP GEF's programmatic department, bringing expertise in economics and statistics. She plays a vital role in supporting the development and management of programs that aim to address GEF initiatives

Daria supports the portfolio on project and programme development and monitoring and evaluation. She previously interned for UNEP before relocating to Nairobi support the Unit's work on SAICM. Daria is a Russian national and holds a BSc Molecular Biology and Sustainability. 

Thandeka Mbatha provides operational support for Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) projects under the UN Environment-Global Environment Facility Chemicals and Waste portfolio. 

Hildah is a UNV hosted by United Nations Environment Programme as a Finance and budget Assistant working for the GEF Mitigation Unit.

At UNEP, she supports budget preparation, fund management, provides ongoing guidance on financial reporting ensuring financial integrity across all stages of project implementation.  

Grace is a Finance and Budget Assistant working with Medium-Size-Project and Full-Size- Project Portfolio at the GEF Climate Change Mitigation Unit. 

She provides support in financial reporting, funds management and budget preparation to the GEF on mitigation projects. 

Maurice supports the portfolio on IPMR. Prior to UNEP, he founded the NGO Children of Hope India before working for the Indian High Commission, and then as a business development manager for law firm Chabi Otieno Chiteri Advocates. Chabi is a Kenyan national and holds a BSc in Communication Engineering from the National institute of Technology, Silchar, India. 

Carolyne is Finance and Budget Assistant at UNEP's GEF Coordination Office. She brings with her over five years of experience in finance, business development, and community engagement.

Rocío supports the portfolio Task Management. Prior to UNEP, she worked for UNIDO on artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) and cocoa production. Rocío is a Spanish national and holds a BA in International Relations and Politics and an MA in International Business Management.
