Events

The project was undertaken under the umbrella of the UNEP Mercury in Products Partnership. It was one of the projects prioritized by the products partnership based on criteria set. The project supported the Government of Bangladesh in its effort towards the ratification and early implementation of the Minamata Convention on Mercury.

Practical Sourcebook on Mercury Waste Storage and Disposal

At the invitation of the UNEP Chemicals Branch DTIE, and the UNEP Regional Office of Africa, the Inception Workshop on the Phase II of the East Africa Dental Amalgam Phase down Project was held on 23rd March 2015 at United Nations Office in Gigiri, Nairobi. The various participants presented their respective contributions to the project and the national project coordinators presented their respective project work plans. 

The project results workshop took place on 5-6 November 2013 in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

Phasing Down Dental Amalgam: Country Case Studies Michael T. Bender - Zero Mercury Working Group

Hosted by the Government of Kenya, the project inception workshop was held on 18-19 December 2012 and attended by all stakeholders. The meeting provided participants with a better understanding and role clarification of the project objectives, methodology, outputs and outcomes. The various participants presented their respective contributions to the project and the national project coordinators presented their respective project workplans.
