Activities leading up to INC-5.4

This page provides information and resources for Members of the Committee and accredited Observer organizations who wish to participate in the informal activities convened by the INC Chair leading up to INC-5.4 (as outlined in the letters from the INC Chair - see correspondence section below).

Upcoming activities

1. Second informal in-person Heads of Delegation (HODs) meeting

Date: 27 - 30 September 2026
Preceded by regional consultations on 26 September at the same venue.
Format: Informal and in-person with Head of Delegation + 3 delegates (HOD+3)
Location: United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand
Language: English only

Note: The meeting is expected to conclude at midday on Wednesday 30 September 2026, with discussions scheduled that day during the morning.

 

2. Third informal in-person meeting in the lead-up to INC-5.4

Date: scheduled to take place within the period of 25 January to 2 February 2027
Format: Informal and in-person
Language: English only

Informal webinars with Observers

A series of informal webinars with Observers will be convened by the INC Chair, starting on 24 March 2026. The webinars aim to share information on the INC process and provide a space for interested Observer organizations to share their reflections and views with the Chair.
