The Global Mercury Partnership organised an information sharing session on Minamata Initial Assessments (MIAs): latest trends, key findings and data analysis tools, on Tuesday 27 September 2022, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm CEST, in an online setting.

The Global Mercury Partnership Area on Mercury Releases from Coal Combustion, the Secretariat of the Minamata Convention and the International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant co-organized a webinar on “Mercury emissions from coal” as part of Minamata Online Sessions Season 2, on Wednesday 17 November 2021.

The Mercury releases from Coal Combustion Area of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership held its annual meeting on Tuesday 28 September 2021, in an online setting.

At the third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention, the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership Area on Mercury releases from coal combustion organized a side event entitled: “Quick guides to mercury from coal with focus on the challenge for Asia” (26 November 2019, Geneva).

The annual meeting of the UN Environment Global Mercury Partnership – Mercury Control from Coal Combustion, was held on 30 October 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam, back to back with the 14th Multi-pollutant Emissions from Coal (MEC 14) workshop https://www.mec-workshops.org/

The Annual Meeting of the Coal Combustion Partnership Area has taken place on the final day of  the 13th Multi-pollutant Emissions from Coal (MEC 13) workshop which was held in Krakow, Poland.

The meeting was the occasion to present an update of the continuing activities underway on the Coal Partnership Area. It included an update on the now completed projects in Southeast Asia as well as a discussion of proposed further projects in Asia, South America, Africa and Europe.

The Annual Meeting of the Coal Combustion Partnership Area took place on the final day of  the 12th Multi-pollutant Emissions from Coal (MEC 12) workshop, held in Kruger, South Africa.
