In Latin America and the Caribbean, UN Environment Programme and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) work together to strengthen national capacity for the elimination and sound management of chemicals and wastes.
This factsheet highlights the main achievements of this joint initiative since its launch in 2002, with the implementation of 176 projects in 141 countries, for a global investment of over USD 262 million.
