This report is a terminal evaluation of a UNEP-GEF project implemented between 2010 and 2013. The project's objective was to strengthen the effective protection of habitats populated by species that are globally critically endangered in the terrestrial protected area networks of the Tropical Andean countries of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia. The objectives of this Terminal Evaluation were to assess project performance and to determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability, and based on this assessment identify lessons of operational relevance for future project formulation and implementation.
