Julliette Biao Koudenoukpo on COP- 2 of the Bamako Convention

The Bamako Convention is a treaty of African nations prohibiting the import into Africa of any hazardous (including radioactive) waste. The convention came into force in 1998. The Second Conference of the Parties to the Bamako Convention on the Ban of the Import into Africa and the Control of Transboundary Movement and Management of Hazardous Wastes within Africa will take place at the Radisson Hotel, Route de l’aéroport, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire from 30 January to 1 February 2018.

The Conference will be held under the following theme: The Bamako Convention: a platform for a pollution-free Africa.
