Since its establishment in 1985, the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) has marked key moments in advancing Africa’s environmental priorities. These milestones reflect progress across AMCEN’s core areas of work: Climate Action; Nature, Land Degradation, Desertification, and Drought Action; and Chemicals and Pollution Action.
