Open Call for Best Practices II - What do investments in nature-based solutions look like?

23 December 2021
Open Call For Best Practices 2

Help us to shape a future that not only acknowledges but demonstrates how investing in nature-based solutions can address the multi-faceted environmental crises and broader societal challenges that affect humanity today.

The purpose of this Open Call is to identify examples of investment models that contribute to nature-based solutions that could be replicated or scaled up by others around the globe. This open call is in addition to the ‘State of Finance for Nature – Open Call for Best Practices’ that was collected till February 19th, 2021. It is our intent that submissions to this open call can fill gaps from the prior submissions and update the database with new projects.

Following the IUCN definition, investment in nature-based solutions (NbS) should be interpreted in a broader sense as capital flows that contribute positively to climate change mitigation, restoration and/or biodiversity conservation.

Please submit your proposal through this form until April 30, 2022. We will group and select the content that will be featured on the State of Finance for Nature Hub as stories and podcasts among other content.

The State of Finance for Nature Hub is a flagship database of the UN Environment Programme on worldwide efforts to catalyze public and private investments into nature that will be published in 2022.

By filling out the form, you agree that your information will be made public. The working language is English. Should you have any questions, please contact Fiona Cromarty at fiona.cromarty@un.org.
