The Atlas of Environmental Change of the Republic of Tajikistan has been developed using global, regional and national datasets spanning six decades, drawing both on historical information and the latest satellite technology. It provides detailed information on the environment focusing on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The information contained within the Atlas can assist the Republic of Tajikistan in monitoring the environment and reporting to Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs), as well as feeding into its national state of environment reporting. It also provides a solid evidence base for policy and decision-makers to manage the environment sustainably.
